SEAI – Home Energy Grants

The SEAI offers grants to help homeowners upgrade their homes and increase energy efficiency. Carpentry & Building Services (CBS Ltd) is registered under the home energy scheme, allowing them to access these grants. The scheme incentivizes homeowners by providing cash grants for various upgrades, including wall insulation, heating control upgrades, solar heating, and boiler upgrades.

There are several advantages to participating in the Better Energy Homes Scheme:

1.Home Extensions: If you plan on extending your home either upward or outward, Carpentry & Building Services (CBS Ltd) can assist you with the design before applying for planning permission. Home extensions not only provide extra living space but can also increase the value of your property.

2.Cost Savings: Heating a home can be expensive. By upgrading your property through this scheme, you can save money on energy bills over time.

3.Environmental Benefits: Increased energy consumption produces higher greenhouse gas emissions. By upgrading your home and reducing energy usage, you can decrease your carbon footprint and contribute to a cleaner environment.

5.Tax Credit: The incentive provides a 13.5% tax credit on all qualifying expenditures. The minimum amount eligible for this credit is €5,000, while the maximum is €30,000.

It is important to note that all work carried out under the Better Energy Homes Scheme must be done by a registered contractor like Carpentry & Building Services (CBS Ltd), who has the necessary qualifications and expertise in these projects.
